Frequently Asked Questions
A domain name is the web address or URL where visitors find your site. A custom domain gives your website a more professional appearance, strengthens your brand, and makes it easier for visitors to find you online.
On the order form, you'll be asked for an EPP code if you're transferring a domain to us. The EPP code is stored in the control panel of the previous/current registrar or by contacting their support. In order to transfer the domain, it will also need to be unlocked.
Domains can be controlled through the Client panel. When logged into the panel click on "Manage Domain" next to a respective domain to be presented with the management options for it.
The DNS for your domain is managed by nameservers. These will be provided to you if you are using a shared hosting account. You have the option of using the nameservers provided with your reseller account or registering your own. Before nameservers can be used for your domain on VPSs and dedicated servers, you must first register them. This is where you'll enter the nameservers provided by an external DNS provider like Cloudflare.
A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its registration or last transfer, according to ICANN policy. This applies to domain registrations that are transferred to us as well as domain registrations that are transferred away from us.
You'll find a form to update the Registrant, Administrative, Technical, and Billing WHOIS contact information on your Account panel page. This information will not be made public if your domain has domain privacy enabled.
Once the order has been submitted and the EPP code has been validated, an email will be sent to the administrative WHOIS contact with a link that must be clicked in order to complete the transfer. The old registrar has five (5) days to release the domain to us after you click this link.
While many registrars will approve the request automatically or send you an additional link to approve the transfer right away, others will not, and you may have to wait the full five days for the transfer to complete.
